Hi everyone,

The site was taken down for some updates to security at the start of the month. Security has now been tightened up and the site is back online. =)

November is National Novel Writing Month - if you're competing, stop by our forum where you can talk about NaNoWriMo and show off your work so far.

The latest episode of Doctor Who also aired last night, so discussions on it should be kicking off shortly amongst the avid fans on the forum.

Time for another round of site updates...

• The links page has been updated, though there's still plenty of content to add.
• The Frappr map page has been removed.

This means the entire site has now been updated to the new layout - the only tweaks left to do are making the fan art gallery fit the site, and updating the artwork pages.

Awesome.

Hope the years going well for everyone. Cold weather's putting up a bit of a fight to survive here, but things are okay weather-wise. Economically, it's another story, but I'll leave that for the blog.

Now, site updates...

• The blog has received a facelift in wake of mroe regular updates, and possibly a forthcoming podcast.
• The art pages have been updated to fit with the new thumbnail-based (versus the previous text-based) system. Still under construction, though.
• The forum has been made even more interactive, with work done on the arcade, shop and general look and layout.
• The sidebar now includes a live feed from my Twitter, so you can keep up with my random blatherings.
• By the time this post is live, the Dragon Tamers info page should also have links to buy the book at our store.

I'm actually getting some time to fix things now. :3

The blog, Forbidden Knowledge, is now being updated due to some fixes that allow me to get back to it, and the forum is now back open for registration!

Both of these are awesome. I'm also progressing the updating of the sites main pages to the new layout, and all of the 'Personal' and 'Professional' section pages have joined the new ranking.

With luck, my laptop will be rejoining me some time next week. I can't wait. <3

Hey everyone. It's nearly Valentines day! =] I'm pretty stoked. I used to let Valentines pass as a slightly-worse-than-average day (but I didn't rant and whine about being single - jeez, guys, give the couples a break), now I actually get to celebrate it, and it's a pretty nice chance to... do the same romantic nonsense that punctuates many other days of my life. Hey, I have a great boyfriend. ;P

I've been granted access to a laptop, which is helping a lot with site work - check the sidebar and you'll find the pages about DT and The Network have been updated to the new design.
More should come, and I should be able to pick up the pace with writing again, but it's all very dependant on whether the keyboard is in the mood for working at that moment in time.

One more thing, since my main blog access is limited due to 'technical difficultys' (I broke something. Again.) - since I'm reading often again, I'm accepting books and book samples for critique and review.

My terms are simple - I can only aaccept work to look at if you're either published or have a literary agent, and can prove it. Which sounds harsh, but it's to protect your copyright and myself from drama.

If you qualify for this, feel free to e-mail me and I can give you info on where to send your work.

If you don't qualify, you're still welcome to post your work on the forum, where the users will be available to give you feedback, and occasionally, I will be too.
...Once I fix the forum.

Along with some tweaks ot the side navigation, with more planned, the 'Art' section has been updated with the use of the Lightbox script. So for, only the 'DT Art' and 'Character References' pages have made the transfer, and they're performing well, even if the thumbnails leave a little to be desired.

A update of the other pages will commence soon (meaning, when I get my Macbook back), along with a massive load of new artwork for all sections.

Happy New Year!

 

Here's hoping it's better than 2008. But it probably won't be with a certain spectar looming over us. (For the less informed, I'm lookin' at you, recession.)

 

I truly need to write a blog post about all my interesting goings-oni n life, but I'm lacking in my beloved Macbook and therefore can do very little online. So for now, short news posts are all you're gonna get.

For those using older versions of Internet Explorer, I've discovered a problem with the alignment of the quote box up top - it's too far to the left. Again, I'll tweak that, along with various other parts of the site, when my laptop is returned.

Adding to the overwhelming excitement of this sites overhaul, haha, we've now got an events page - just a simple google calender, and there's nothing to put to it right now, but I like it. :3

Still caught up in my love of social sites, I've joined GoodReads.com - a site where you can list your music taste, find people with similar tastes, get an author's page, etc.

I'm still adjusting it - my bookshelf at home is unarchived, and my writing has yet to be posted - but if you like what you see, I'm available to add. =]

Hope a few of you rare readers get a kick out of it.

I know, I know - why Bebo, Emma dearest? Because Facebook and MySpace both don't grab my attention for long enough. But I shall do, someday.

As this page may suggest, I'm working more on my short stories to great a decent portfolio and improve my skills. So perhaps, when I have enough of them, I'll go the whole hog and sumbit them to fictionpress, advertise them on forums etc.

Meh. Advertising is hard. Speaking of which...
